2. My lender, insurance company, government agency, etc. indicates that I need to be at a certain enrollment status. What is 'enrollment status'?
For students in undergraduate colleges, full-time status is defined as 12 or more credits per semester, half-time status is 6-11 credits per semester. For students in the Graduate College, full-time status is defined as nine or more credits per semester, half-time status is 5-8 credits per semester. Audit registration and enrollment in correspondence courses cannot be counted for certification purposes.
3. I have documents/requests from my lender that require the Registrar's signature. What do I do?
Bring your document(s) to the Office of the Registrar, 322 Student Union. Your documents will be forwarded to the National Student Clearinghouse for processing and further response to your lender(s). You may contact the clearinghouse by going to their website or by calling (703) 742-7791, if you have questions regarding information provided to lenders.
4. My lender is contacting me saying that they have not received documentation from the clearinghouse and now I am in default on my student loans.
If the Clearinghouse does not have the student's updated enrollment information then the student must come to the Office of the Registrar to obtain an enrollment verification letter.
