Commencement Update

Updated June 8, 2020

Video Celebrating Spring and Summer 2020 Graduates

OStateTV aired a special video on Friday, May 8 to recognize our spring and summer degree candidates. Visit Celebrating the Class of 2020 to watch this special tribute. A list of all degree candidates can be found here.

Graduation Deadlines and Processes

To be eligible to graduate, students must submit a graduation application before the last day of the term in which they plan to complete all degree requirements (regardless of when the commencement ceremony is scheduled).  Please see Graduation Deadlines for important dates to remember, and visit our Diplomas page for information on diploma timelines and distribution.

Commencement Ceremonies

We plan to recognize our spring and summer 2020 graduates during our December ceremonies (Dec. 11 and 12), when we can celebrate our entire Class of 2020 together in Stillwater. These ceremonies will celebrate our actual spring and summer 2020 graduates, as well as our fall 2020 degree candidates. December commencement ceremonies are also planned in Tulsa for OSU-Tulsa on Dec. 13. OSU Center for Health Sciences degree candidates will be receiving specific communications about your events as details are available. For those who are unable to participate in the December events, we are exploring options to recognize you virtually or at other future ceremonies.

An RSVP will be sent to spring and summer graduates via email over the summer to help us plan. Details of ceremonies, receptions, and other related activities will be reevaluated in the early fall and updated on this site as they become available.

We appreciate your understanding as we took the unprecedented step of postponing your in-person spring graduation experience. If you have feedback or questions, please email us at commencement@okstate.edu. We will provide additional details on this website when they are available.

We look forward to celebrating yet another exceptional Oklahoma State University graduating class. Go Pokes!
