Verification of Degree Conferral
Participation in an OSU commencement ceremony does not constitute verification that individuals crossing the stage have completed all degree requirements. During the weeks following the ceremonies, each degree candidate’s records are reviewed by the candidate’s college to ensure completion of degree requirements. Upon verification, degrees are posted to official OSU transcripts in the Office of the Registrar, and diplomas are issued.
Degree candidates may review their academic transcripts to ensure degrees have been posted by logging into Self-Service.
- Official Transcripts - You may verify your OSU degree to potential employers by requesting that OSU send them official transcripts.
- Diploma – Your OSU diploma is verification that you have completed degree requirements.
